1. Overview
At Universal Belt, we stand behind the quality of our products. This policy outlines your rights and our obligations in relation to warranty claims, refunds, and returns for all products purchased through universalbelt.ae.
We offer two distinct pathways depending on the nature of your claim: our 100,000 km Warranty for automotive belts covering factory defects, and our Case-by-Case Review Process for all other refund or return requests.
2. Automotive Belt Warranty — 100,000 km Coverage
2.1 What Is Covered
All automotive belts sold through universalbelt.ae are backed by a 100,000 kilometre warranty against factory defects. This warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
- Premature cracking, fraying, or structural failure not caused by external factors
- Delamination or separation of belt layers under normal operating conditions
- Any defect that causes the belt to fail to perform its intended automotive function
2.2 Warranty Conditions
To be eligible for a warranty claim, the following conditions must be met:
- The belt was purchased directly from universalbelt.ae
- The defect manifests within 100,000 km of the vehicle’s mileage at the time of installation
- The belt was installed correctly by a qualified technician in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications
- The vehicle has been maintained in accordance with standard service intervals
- Proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) is provided
- Proof of mileage at time of installation and at time of claim is provided (e.g., service records, odometer photos)
2.3 What Is Not Covered
The following are explicitly excluded from the 100,000 km warranty:
- Damage caused by improper installation or use of incorrect tools
- Damage resulting from lack of maintenance, contamination by oil, coolant, or chemicals
- Normal wear and tear beyond expected service life
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or modifications to the vehicle
- Belts installed on vehicles used for racing, off-road, or other non-standard purposes
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect belt function
- Damage caused by external factors such as extreme heat, flooding, or road debris
2.4 How to Make a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Visit our Warranty page with your order number and a description of the defect
- Step 2: Provide supporting documentation including proof of purchase, installation records, and mileage evidence
- Step 3: Submit clear photographs or video clearly showing the defect
- Step 4: Our technical team will review your claim within 5–7 business days
- Step 5: If approved, we will arrange a replacement belt or refund at our discretion
Universal Belt reserves the right to request the return of the defective belt for inspection before approving any warranty claim. Return shipping costs for warranty claims will be covered by Universal Belt if the claim is approved.
3. All Other Refund & Return Requests — Case-by-Case Review
3.1 Our Approach
For all return and refund requests that fall outside the 100,000 km automotive warranty — including non-automotive products, change-of-mind returns, incorrect orders, or other circumstances — each request is reviewed individually by our customer service team.
We do not operate a blanket return policy for these cases. Each situation is assessed fairly and on its own merits, and we will communicate our decision clearly.
3.2 How to Submit a Request
To initiate a refund or return review, please contact us at support@universalbelt.ae within 14 days of receiving your order. Your request should include:
- Your order number and the item(s) you wish to return or claim a refund for
- A clear description of the reason for your request
- Photographs or supporting evidence where applicable
Our team will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and advise you on the next steps.
3.3 Factors We Consider
When reviewing a case-by-case request, our team takes into account factors including but not limited to:
- The condition of the product at the time of the request
- Time elapsed since delivery
- Nature of the issue reported and supporting evidence provided
- Whether the product was used or installed
- The customer’s purchase history and communication
3.4 Possible Outcomes
Upon completing our review, we may offer one or more of the following resolutions:
- Full refund to the original payment method
- Partial refund based on the assessed condition or usage of the product
- Store credit or exchange for an alternative product
- Rejection of the request if the claim does not meet our assessment criteria, with a full explanation provided
We are committed to reaching a fair resolution and will always explain the basis of our decision. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may escalate your concern to our management team.
4. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval
- Store credits are applied to your account within 2 business days of approval
- Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a confirmed factory defect or an error on our part
- Universal Belt is not responsible for any bank or card processing delays beyond our control
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following items are not eligible for refund or return under any circumstances:
- Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” at the time of purchase
- Custom-cut or specially ordered belts made to customer specifications
- Items that have been installed and show clear signs of use, unless covered under the 100,000 km warranty
- Digital products or downloadable content
- Gift cards
